Projects > Collaborative Projects

Since December 2015, I’ve been working on a multi-faceted project that engages with issues of textile waste and re-use, specifically engaging with issues around clothing. While part of this work is studio-based, the majority of the work takes the form of workshops on mending, embellishment and alteration techniques, on textile techniques including weaving and quilting that traditionally utilize re-purposed fabrics, and on natural dyeing as a way to engage more thoughtfully with the natural world. In addition to these workshops, I am working with organizations around the city to plan and host community clothing exchanges, in order to reduce clothing waste.
