Other Woven Projects
Transference of Touch was the impetus for a larger residency I had a Corner Chicago in February 2016. It's a large-format weaving made of worn and much-loved garments collected from friends and neighbors in Chicago. The presence of wear in the cloth (from long proximity to the body), coupled with the intensely touchable pile weaving, draws people in, makes them look close and gives clues that they should touch the work.
