Borders and Boundaries
This part of my practice revolves around re-working textile methodologies and structures in order to use non-traditional materials to create sculptures, installations and environments. The objects I create are meant to be played with, and in this activity I find oscillations between power exchange, discomfort--struggle, and tactile desire/exuberance. At all times I am looking to find the places where the barriers between people, envisioned or imagined, touch, bend, break down, overlap, as these are the places where genuine interactions happen.
